Elon Musk’s xAI Raises $20B in Series E

Elon Musk’s xAI has raised $20 billion in their Series E funding round, exceeding the $15 billion target for the round.

xAI has grown significantly in the past year in their pursuit of advanced AI tech. Specifically, 2025 saw major data center expansion, the release of the Grok 4 and Imagine models, and training for the Grok 5 model.

Investors for the Series E include Valor Equity Partners, Stepstone Group, Fidelity Management & Research Company, Qatar Investment Authority, MGX, Baron Capital Group, and others.

Strategic partners NVIDIA and Cisco Investments also continue to support xAI in their mission to scale AI technology around the globe.
