At the same time, private firm Partners Group acquired PowerTransitions from EnCap Investments L.P.. Partners Group plans to invest over $450 million in PowerTransitions to fund future growth.
PowerTransitions specializes in redeveloping legacy power supplies for modern purposes. They are experts at expanding energy generation, battery storage, and powered land sites for data centers and industry.
This latest acquisition includes the 145 MW Camden Power Plant in New Jersey and the 81 MW Dartmouth Power Plant in Massachusetts. This is the first time the company will operate in either the PJM or ISO New England markets.
Both of these regions are seeing incredible power demand growth from data centers, the reshoring of manufacturing, and increased electrification.
