Google Is Building The Worlds Most Powerful Data Center In Wisconsin

The most powerful AI data center in the world is under construction in Wisconsin.

Microsoft’s Fairwater facility is scheduled to come online in early 2026 and is already hiring employees. The company had initially pledged $3.3 billion toward its construction.

The Fairwater data center will be used to train the next generation of AI, using hundreds of thousands of NVIDIA GPUs. These processors are estimated to perform 10x better than today’s fastest supercomputers.

Microsoft is also pledging an additional $4 billion to build a second data center in the area, also of similar size.

This is great news for Wisconsin, bringing in jobs and revenue to the region. We can expect to see the AI industry continue to boom in the coming years all across the country.
