Brookfield is raising $10 billion for its first AI infrastructure fund, with anchor investments from both Nvidia and Kuwait Investment Authority.
Using these funds, Brookfield will support AI growth across the globe. They are focused more on greenfield developments, rather than existing sites, which is a departure from what most other firms are doing.
Combined with other co-investments and debt financing, Brookfield says that their fund could potentially support up to $100 billion worth of projects.
This includes developments in data centers, electricity generation, and chip manufacturing. Already, Brookfield has signed a $5 billion contract with Bloom Energy to power data centers.
